The culture at Tesla is one of improvisation at all times. Everyone seems to be improvising and there doesn't seem to be set standard operating procedure to general day to day management. From day one, everyone was confused as to do with the new hires (me). Training was quick and confusing. I don't recall anyone from management taking the time to simply introduce themselves or even say hello. However the company pays very well and provides excellent benefits.
