Salary: €3,300 gross per month (inclusive of all taxes and expenses)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Desktop Support Engineer to join our IT Operations team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical troubleshooting skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Since the role involves supporting German-speaking users, German fluency is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide L1/L2 technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to Windows OS, hardware, networking, and standard enterprise applications.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and IT equipment.
  • Manage user accounts, access rights, and permissions in Active Directory and other internal systems.
  • Handle ticketing system workflows: logging, tracking, prioritizing, and resolving requests within SLA.
  • Perform routine system checks, preventive maintenance, and updates.
  • Support remote employees and troubleshoot issues via remote tools.
  • Collaborate with IT infrastructure, security, and application teams as needed.
  • Document solutions, create knowledge base articles, and maintain accurate support logs.
  • Ensure compliance with company IT policies and security standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in desktop or technical support roles.
  • Fluent in German (written and spoken).
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office Suite, and common enterprise tools.
  • Experience with Active Directory, basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), VPNs, and remote support tools.
  • Familiarity with hardware troubleshooting and replacement procedures.
  • Good understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management).
  • Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple support tasks simultaneously.

Nice to Have

  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft MCP/MD-100/MD-101, ITIL Foundation.
  • Experience with MDM solutions (Intune, Jamf, etc.).
  • Exposure to Linux or macOS environments.
